Competition rules  

1. Application for entry opens 12 May 2008 and closes 20 June 2008.
2. Completed business cases must be handed in by/on 3 October 2008 at your campus convener.
3. Intra campus adjudication round completed by 17 October 2008
4. Only electronic (email) version will be accepted, in Microsoft format
5. Proposals to be emailed to your campus coordinator, and cc'd to frank.louw@sanlam.co.za and creativity.inbox@sanlam.co.za
6. Entrants (teams) will also prepare a PowerPoint presentation to present to the panel of judges for both the intra (local) and inter varsity (national) adjudication rounds
7. Team entry form and Assignment declaration to be printed and faxed to Frank Louw at (021) 957 1346.
8. Teams must have a minimum of 4 members and a maximum of 6.
9. A weighting will be awarded for the business proposal and a weighting for a presentation of the proposal to the panel
10. Adjudication panels will be compiled, per university (intra varsity), by the Sanlam and University coordinator, and inter varsity by the Sanlam Group Marketing Department.
11. The business proposal must be practical (not theoretical) to be implementable. The idea must comprise of an explained concept/idea as well as an implementation plan with a budget. Must also be original – no old proposals will be allowed
12. Teams must also prepare a 30 minute PowerPoint presentation for the adjudication rounds
13. All references must be noted using the Harvard Method of referring to sources.
14. An assignment declaration form must be completed by the team and handed in as part of their business case
15. Sanlam will not be providing any finance for research interventions or be liable for any costs running up to the final business cases.
