Glacier's retirement fund solution enables you to grow your retirement fund savings in your employer's pension and/or provident fund in a personalised portfolio of investments. You can invest your savings in your pension or provident fund in a portfolio that matches your risk profile and personal needs.
Glacier offers access to a much broader range of funds through a single entry point, without impacting the administration costs of your existing investments in the fund. You may switch between these underlying funds easily and cost effectively, at any point during the investment term. In addition, our Private Securities Option allows you to include a managed share portfolio as part of your retirement fund investments.
It's not a requirement that you transfer your full investment to our retirement fund solution. You can keep part of your savings in your existing investment options, and transfer the rest, giving you and your financial adviser the option to actively manage the part invested with us.
Before reaching retirement, whenever you withdraw from an employer's approved pension or provident fund, you can transfer your withdrawal benefit into our Preservation Pension Fund or Preservation Provident Fund on a tax neutral basis, subject to regulatory requirements. On nearing retirement, you have the option to restructure your portfolio to provide an income immediately on retirement. There is no cost to transfer your investment to a Glacier investment-linked life annuity on retirement.
There is no penalty or exit fee on termination of your investment.
