Promotion of Access to Information Act

The Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA), 2 of 2000 gives you the right to access information that you might require for the exercise or protection of any rights.

Once you've met certain requirements, you'll be granted access to the information you require. The Act also requires private bodies (e.g. Sanlam) to compile a manual which will assist people who want to exercise their right to access to information.

Should you want to exercise your right of access to information, you can download the Manual below, as well as the prescribed form and fees you need to pay.
