The Foundation team is led by Nozizwe Vundla, Head of the Sanlam Foundation. Before this, she was Executive Director of Student Sponsorship Programme, a non-profit trust. Zizwe’s career started as a management consultant at KPMG and her experience in development spans international trade at the Department of Trade and Industry, and development finance at the National Treasury. She is passionate about social justice and the arts.
Zizwe was recently appointed to the Board of the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund. She also sits on the Board of the St. Mary’s Foundation, and was formerly the chairperson of the Women’s Legal Centre. She is a fellow of the African Leadership Initiative and holds BA and LLB degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand.
