Mr Socikwa has been appointed as the Group Executive: Market Development on 01 September 2020.
His current directorships include RAM Hand-to-Hand Couriers (Pty) Ltd, Rhodes University Board of Governors, Salvation Army Territorial Advisory Board, Channel Life (Pty) Ltd, African Rainbow Life Ltd and Safrican Insurance Company Ltd.
Mr Socikwa’s previous positions include being the Chief Executive for Sanlam Sky (2017 - 2020); CEO for Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) Durban (2009 - 2017); Group Executive (Commercial) for Transnet, Johannesburg (2007 - 2009); Head of Restructuring for Transnet, Johannesburg (2005 - 2007); CEO for Transtel, Johannesburg (2001 - 2005); Deputy CEO for Transtel, Johannesburg (1999 - 2001); Group Company Secretary for Transnet, Johannesburg (1997 - 1999); General Counsel for Transtel, Johannesburg (1995 - 1996); and Candidate Attorney and Admitted Attorney for Deneys Reitz Attorneys, Durban and Johannesburg (1992 - 1994).
He was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 1994.
Mr Socikwa holds the degrees of BComm (1989) and LLB (1991) from Rhodes University.
